$470 Discount on this Year’s HR Tech Conference from CompareHRIS.com

Representatives from Human Resources Executive Online contacted me last week with a special offer for CompareHRIS.com and HR-SoftwareBlog.com visitors for this year’s Human Resources Executive’s Technology Conference & Exposition. By using the promo code COMPARE (all caps) when registering, you will receive a $470 discount off the list price of $1,645. Our special rate of $1,175 is even lower than any of the early bird rates that were offered. As I understand the offer, this price is lower than any offers published for the show. The conference is scheduled for September 30th to October 2nd and will be held at the McCormick Place in Chicago.

I went to the HR Technology Conference last year and will be attending again this year. I won’t have a booth but I will be walking the floor and chatting with our existing and perspective HRM Software vendors. If you are looking for any type of HRMS software and want to meet the representatives from those companies face to face, I highly recommend this show. Many of the HR solutions companies who did not attend the last SHRM conference were in attendance at the Human Resources Technology Conference last year. Specifically, I did not see Workday, Oracle or People Soft at SHRM in New Orleans. They were all at the HR tech show last year. This is part of the reason I’ll be in attendance but might skip SHRM next year.

Extra Cost Saving Tip

If you are going to fly to the show, don’t rent a car. I went to last year’s show, flew into Midway airport and then rented a car. The problem with Chicago is parking is extremely expensive. So much so that I ended up parking my car at the hotel for $45 a night and then took taxis everywhere I went. Then I got lost going back to the airport and drove through some neighborhoods where locking the doors seemed prudent. Forget the rental car and plan on taking shuttles or taxis in the city.
