In January 2009, we sent out a vendor satisfaction survey to participating vendors of CompareHRIS.com. Based on this feedback and input from our site’s users, we continue to expand and improve our service for both HR software prospects and HR software vendors. Unlike other services, we rely on feedback from our vendors on the design of our site and service. One vendor reported that what they like most about our service is that they have a say in how the whole thing works. Below are a handful of replies from our vendor satisfaction survey:
Question – Are you using or have you used any other HR software lead generation service? Which one(s)? If you have used another service, how does our service compare to the other service? Where are we stronger or weaker than the other service(s)?
Answers –
“Yes, just coming off TecEvaluationCenter (Technologyevaluation.com); Have also used buyerzone.com, Capterra, and one or two others over the years. You provide better lead quality; more information and we’ve even gotten ROI out of it – a 4,000 ee account”
“We just started with 2020 Software and TEC. We were so satisfied with CompareHRIS.com that we thought we’d give these others a try too. It is too early to compare since it has only been a week.”
“CompareHRIS.com Strength 1: Highly targeted market segment. Strength 2: Provides education value to viewers. Strength 3: creating, forward-looking, and dynamic presence on the web. (No weaknesses provided)”
“BuyerZone, Tippit, Venture Direct, Business.com amongst other – All very different models. It’s difficult to compare. I like your model in that we receive detailed prospect information which assists us in meeting their expectations and HR needs.”
“We use TEC. They have 3 levels of leads, the best being one where they call and ask questions which they put in narrative form as to the reason they are looking. They are more expensive than compare and I don’t think their initial vetting is that beneficial.”
Question – How many of our leads have you closed thus far? Can you provide a total gross dollar amount of those closed leads? How many of our leads do you expect to close this quarter? Can you provide an estimated total gross dollar amount of those expected to close?
Answers –
“One; Value $150,000+; one more may close this quarter.”
“2 closed sales. One mid sized company and one small company. They happened very quickly. They were very qualified leads and knew what they were looking for.”
“We’ve closed 1 lead with a dollar value of $100,000. If we closed the 3 leads on our pipeline, the dollar value would be $350,000+.”
“1 lead closed in January.”
“In our first four months with the CompareHRIS.com service we closed two deals with a gross value of $35,000. Compared to the fee we pay, we have achieved a nice return on the investment.”
Question – Would you recommend our service to others in the industry? We received a yes reply from every one of our active vendors.
“As they say on “My Cousin Vinnie,” that’s a trick question. I’d prefer to be the only vendor on your site!!!!”
“Yes, especially to viewers and potential customers and those that would benefit from using an HRIS. No, to more vendors that will dilute the impact of your website.”

“I would like to see you do more with European countries – we are trying to ramp up there – and see lots of those companies use your site – so perhaps some marketing efforts in the UK wouldn’t hurt.
